Fantasy Football 2012 Week 4 Start/Sit

Cedric Benson, Start, RB, Packers - Saints’ run defense is statistically the league’s worst. This is not just because Jamal Charles tore them up last week. They are horrible, and despite the pass happy Packer offense this play bodes well for Benson who seems to have a nose for the goal-line.

Maurice Jones-Drew, Start, RB, Jaguars - MDJ is a one man wrecking ball. He rushed for 177 yards last week versus the Colts and fares to do similar damage against the Bengal defense who has given a generous 24 fantasy points to running backs on average.

Micheal Turner, Start, RB, Falcons - The Carolina Panthers have a terrible run defense giving up 62 fantasy points to running backs the last two weeks. Turner historically owns the Panthers averaging 98 yards and 1.4 scores in the last eight meeting. Let's just say it looks as if history will repeat itself.

Kevin Smith, Sit, RB, Lions - Don't even bother! He ceded 26 carries to Mikel Leshoure in week 3 while carrying the football ZERO times. Facing the toughest defense for fantasy running backs in the Vikings there is no upside here.

Steven Jackson,Sit, RB, Rams - Jackson who has played with injuries his entire career will be limited this week with a groin injury against a stout Seattle Seahawk defense. Not to mention he has been abysmal all season.

Shonn Greene, Sit, RB, Jets - Greene has been averaging around 2 yards a carry during the last two weeks of action. San Francisco has given up only 22 fantasy points to RBs and allowed no scores. You figure this one out!

Andy Dalton, Start, QB, Bengals - This red head has been red hot the last two week throwing a combined 6 touchdowns and 646 yards. Should fare well against the Jacksonville Jaguars Defense. Great start for those looking for a bye week play.

Robert Griffin III, Start, QB, Redskins - Ignore Tony Romo's no show last week against Tampa. They are still the the league's worst pass defense allowing 353 yards per game. Griffin should continue to shine in the spotlight!

Christian Ponder, Start, QB, Vikings - The Detroit Lions just got torched by a young Jake Locker who was without any running game. There is no reason to ponder on Ponder. Great 2nd QB or bye week play.

Matt Shaub, Start, QB, Texans - Titans have given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Sit, QB, Bills - The Patriots faltered last week against a hot Raven offense. But don't let that fool you the Buffalo Bills do not have as many receiving weapons as do the Ravens. Stay away from Fitzpatrick at all cost.

Tony Romo, Sit, QB, Cowboys - Romo could not capitalize against Tampa Bay last week coughing the ball up three times! He faces the toughest defense for fantasy quarterbacks this season the Chicago Bears. Da Bears have allowed only 21 points combined at the QB position this season and limited Aaron Rodgers to a mere 10 fantasy points.

Micheal Vick, Sit, QB, Eagles - Don't get me started. Vick has been beaten to death (hit 20 times last week) this season resulting in 9 turnovers this season and counting. Stay away very far away!

A.J. Green, Start, WR, Bengals - The Jaguar defense has actually fared well against the pass this season giving up only one receiving touchdown this season to opposing wide receiver. But that maybe more related to opponents taking advantage of an underachieving run defense. Expect another huge game for Mr. Green!

Victor Cruz, Start, WR, NY Giants - Cruz always seems to play his best against Philly. If Hakeem Nicks does not play, he will be Manning's favorite option against a stout Eagle secondary. Third in targets this season with 36, expect Cruz to salsa dance his way into the end-zone!

Jeremy Kerley, Sit, WR, Jets - Do not get cute and start this rookie. Yes he has fared well producing on his eight catches this season. But realize it they have been eight grabs on only 11 targets. Stay clear of Kerley this week against a strong Niner defense.

Kevin Ogletree, Sit, WR, Cowboys - Romo is spreading the ball around and Ogletree is getting his share of looks. But the Da Bears defense will be too much for Tony Romo who has struggled with turnovers. Don't expect much more than 5 points from this wavier wire wonder.
